The Barn
[ ]The Office
Here is where the owner of Hayloft Stables and the employees roam. Gray linoleum floors are covered with mis-matching rugs. A few desks sit on one end. One door leads to the barn's indoor ring; one door leads towards the parking lot where dozens of trailers and trucks rest. And then finally, one big, locked door sits in one corner. This leads to where the owner sits, sleeps, rests, and eats. Home at the barn, who could ask for better?
00
[ ]The Left Aisle
Dust and cobwebs cover the left aisle. The stalls are slightly smaller and less comfortable, and the floor is just dirt that riders can sweep the hay off of if they feel like spending an hour with a rake. Grooms stop by and change the food and water buckets twice a day. They muck out when they can. Two old wash-stalls are outside, and you can put your horses in makeshift cross-ties that are attatched at various points in the barn aisle. A big closet-style room is filled with trunks where the left-side riders store their tack. It isn't paradise, but it is functional at its best.
00
[ ]The Right Aisle
The immaculate concrete floor is swept almost constantly by the barn staff. The green and white stall doors are painted monthly so they look fresh and crisp. Names and owners are flaunted upon silver plaques on each stall door. Automatic water dispensers are equipped to each of the stalls, which are mucked daily. Feed buckets get changed five times a day and hay is given to those who pay for it. Five cross-tie stalls that have hoses attatched if you want to give your horse a bath. A true paradise for the wealthy that afford it.
00
[ ]Ride!
This is the large area where most people ride their horses. An indoor arena is closest to the barn, actually inbetween the left and right aisles. An outdoor ring is farther out, and a racing track is in the north corner of the plot of land. Ride your horse here and have fun!
00
[ ]The Grounds
The grounds... Featuring seven large pastures and two long trails through the surrounding woods. One has cross country jumps, and one is smooth and flat with a little pond on the side; perfect for walking hot and sweaty horses out.
00
The City
[ ]The Mall
Here is where Shire, Kentucky's entire youth hangs out when not at the barn. You can shop for clothes or boyfriends if you are a girl, or simply sit there looking cool if you are a boy.
00
[ ]Mickey D's
Welcome to Mcdonald's, may I take your order? This place is cheap as heck and not exactly the fanciest place on earth. However, it is good for an emergency milkshake or even a desperately needed job.
00
[ ]Harvey's Bar
For the adults who hang around Shire, this is the place to chat. Or even for the more wild youngsters, it can be a place to break free. The alcohol flows freely and the food isn't half bad.
